The team at Sunrise School of Dental Assisting is dedicated to seeing you succeed.  With locations in Raleigh, Greensboro & Fayetteville, we’re near Sanford, Winston-Salem, NC & beyond.

At Sunrise School of Dental Assisting, we believe the hallmark of any great educational program is the quality of its instructors. We are immensely proud of the knowledge and experience of our team, as well as the passion they have for helping each student reach their personal and professional goals.

Dr. Dinah Vice

Dr. Dinah Vice founded Sunrise School of Dental Assisting in 2007 with the goal of providing a modern, convenient, and affordable education in dental assisting.

Dr. Vice is a graduate of The Ohio State University, where she earned her undergraduate degree as well as her dental hygiene degree. She was a practicing dental hygienist for 8 years before earning admission to the UNC School of Dentistry. Since graduating in 1984, Dr. Vice has had the privilege of caring for patients in the Triangle for more than three decades. Her practice, Sunrise Dental, serves as the headquarters for Sunrise School of Dental Assisting at their Raleigh office. With 4 locations throughout the Triangle, Sunrise Dental is one the area’s leading dental practices.

She and her husband, Rick, have three children (two of whom are dentists) and 11 grandchildren.

Jennifer Schriver, DAII, RDH – Raleigh Instructor

Jennifer Schriver’s dental career began in 1970 when she graduated from dental assisting school. She spent the next two years earning her dental hygiene degree, and subsequently practiced dental hygiene in a private office for 17 years.

She then earned a bachelor’s degree in Dental Auxiliary Teacher Education from UNC-Chapel Hill.

Aside from her career as a practicing hygienist, Jennifer has worked for Colgate Oral Pharmaceuticals, both as a Professional Sales Representative and as a District Sales manager. She was also the Director of Sales at Discus Dental, one of the world’s leading companies in the development of professional tooth whitening products, as well as other dental equipment and materials.

Jennifer currently works in the Raleigh location, where she consistently exudes a passion for teaching and helping students achieve excellence in their dental careers. She currently resides in Youngsville, NC with her husband and mother.

Tammy Hales, CDA – Fayetteville Instructor

Tammy Hales received her dental assisting diploma from Fayetteville Technical Community College in 1991, when she also passed the Dental Assisting National Board Exam. This achievement earned her the title of Certified Dental Assistant (CDA). Since that time, she has been employed at Cape Fear Oral Surgery as Lead Dental Assistant.

Tammy joined the Sunrise team in 2010. She is a lifelong Fayetteville resident with strong ties in the local dental community. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren, as well as playing volleyball.

Tracey Thompson – Greensboro Instructor

Tracey Thompson graduated from GTCC in 1996 with an Associates Degree in Applied Science in Dental Hygiene. She has been working in a private practice since graduation. She is certified in Radiology, SPICE, CPR and has been training Dental Assisting I students for over 10 years. She recently traveled to Haiti to provide medical / dental care.

Tracey lives in Burlington with her two daughters. She enjoys camping, working out, shopping, and all water activities.

Melody Seeley – Greensboro Instructor

Melody Seeley has been a Dental Assistant for 22 years and is blessed to love it every day. She has the opportunity to teach the craft she loves to up and coming Dental Assistants here at Sunrise School of Dental Assisting.
Originally from Virginia Beach, VA, She has lived in Greensboro NC since 2005. She is the proud mother of 2 sons, 24 and 16. And is the Mama of a Great Dane and a hound dog. In her free time she enjoys reading, working in her yard, hanging out with her boys, cooking and walking my dogs and chatting with her neighbors.
